The flattened cannula is simple to introduce into the corneal stromal pocket, and the blunt tip helps prevent deeper perforation into the anterior chamber. To create the large bubble, air is directed posteriorly through the bottom port. Before inserting this cannula, the lamellar track should be made using the Fogla Pointed Dissector (E0480).
